The late 1980’s hadn’t been kind to Ipswich Town and the team needed to get back to where they belonged sooner rather than later. Manager John Lyall led an experienced team including Chris Kiwomya, Jason Dozzell, Mickey Stockwell and John Wark to the title and promotion from the old Second division in 1992, just in time to join in the excitement of the Premier League!
Due to photography limitations of the era, some of the players may not appear really ‘crisp’, but nothing that detracts from the final montage!
